Apps can request permission from users to gain access to their data. This data includes:

There are two ways to ask for these permissions.

1. Native Mobile Apps - Deeplink Auth Deeplink auth allows you to access user data via the SDK. Your app can request any permissions, including read_user_orders and read_user_basic_info. Once the user approves the permissions request, they will be returned to your app. Learn more about deeplink auth by viewing our documentation on SDK Deep Link Auth.

2. Web - Permissions Request Web applications authorize user accounts via OAuth or OpenID Connect. If the user has an account with your site, use LevelUp OAuth. If they do not have an account with your site, use LevelUp OpenID Connect. Your app can request any permissions, including read_user_orders and read_user_basic_info.
